Terms of Service
Rules for connecting Shopify, publishing verified metrics, billing, and using Revy’s dashboard, pages, and leaderboard.
Last updated July 12, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Revy (“Revy”, “we”, “us”) governing access to revy.app, the Revy merchant dashboard, public Revy pages, flex cards, leaderboards, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, installing the Revy Shopify app, connecting a store, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at /privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use Revy on behalf of a company or Shopify store, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and that “you” includes the organization.
Definitions
- Merchant — a Shopify store owner or authorized staff member who connects a store to Revy.
- Revy page — the public or unlisted profile at revy.app/[slug] displaying verified store metrics and content you configure.
- Verified metrics — revenue, orders, growth, and related figures synced from Shopify via read-only API access.
- Flex Cards — shareable image exports generated from your verified metrics.
- Leaderboard — Revy’s ranked directory of merchants by category and growth, subject to visibility settings and plan access.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must operate or be authorized to manage a legitimate Shopify store.
- You must provide accurate account and store information.
- You may not use Revy if you are barred from receiving services under applicable law or if we previously suspended your account for cause.
Accounts & security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Revy login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@revy.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One Revy account may be linked to one connected Shopify store unless we approve otherwise.
- You may not share dashboard access with parties who are not authorized to manage your store.
- You may not create accounts to impersonate another merchant, misrepresent store ownership, or manipulate leaderboard rankings.
Shopify connection
Connecting Shopify authorizes Revy to access store data through Shopify’s APIs using the permissions shown at install time. Revy uses read-only scopes—we do not modify your catalog, inventory, checkout, or orders.
Shopify’s own terms and policies apply to your Shopify store independently of Revy. Revy is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify beyond operating as a Shopify app.
What Revy syncs
- Revenue, order counts, average order value, growth, and historical revenue series.
- Product titles and sales aggregates for best-seller and top-product displays.
- Marketing channel attribution derived from order referral data.
- Optional Shopify Analytics reports when the read_reports scope is granted.
- Store profile fields you choose to publish on your Revy page.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure you have rights to connect the Shopify store and display its metrics publicly.
- Review Dashboard → Settings → Privacy before sharing your Revy page link.
- Reconnect Shopify from Integrations if scopes are missing or tokens expire.
- Disconnect from Integrations when you no longer want Revy to hold synced store data.
The Service
Revy provides tools to verify, visualize, and share Shopify store performance. Features may evolve over time; we may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice when changes materially affect paid functionality.
Dashboard & analytics
- Year-based filters, KPI cards, performance charts, marketing channel breakdowns, and top products.
- Data freshness depends on Shopify sync schedules and granted API scopes.
Public Revy page
- Custom slug, branding, descriptions, and toggles for which metrics appear publicly.
- Visibility modes: public, unlisted (link-only), or private.
Flex Cards & exports
- Generate shareable visuals from verified metrics.
- Privacy display modes: exact revenue, growth percentage only, or rank only.
Leaderboard
- Optional category rankings based on synced growth and revenue metrics.
- You control whether your store appears on the leaderboard.
Merchant content & public display
You retain ownership of content you upload or enter (logos, descriptions, taglines, and similar materials). You grant Revy a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service—including on your Revy page, flex cards, and leaderboard entries you enable.
- You represent that your content does not infringe third-party rights or violate law.
- You are solely responsible for public metrics and copy shown on your Revy page based on your privacy settings.
- Revy may remove content or suspend pages that are misleading, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful to other merchants.
Plans, billing & refunds
Paid features require an active Revy plan billed through Shopify’s app billing system. Current prices are shown on the pricing page and in Dashboard → Billing. Prices may change for new purchases with notice; existing annual subscriptions renew at the then-current rate unless cancelled.
Available plans
- Revy Annual — recurring subscription billed through Shopify (currently $25 USD per year unless a promotional offer applies).
- Revy Lifetime — one-time purchase billed through Shopify (currently $45 USD) with no renewal for the lifetime plan tier.
- Launch promotions — limited offers such as extended trials may apply; eligibility and duration are shown at checkout.
Billing terms
- Charges appear on your Shopify invoice. Shopify processes payment; Revy does not store card numbers.
- Annual plans renew automatically until cancelled in Dashboard → Billing or through Shopify admin.
- Lifetime access applies to the connected store and account at time of purchase, subject to these Terms and continued availability of the Service.
- Failure to pay may downgrade or suspend paid features until billing is restored.
Refunds & cancellation
- Annual plans: contact hello@revy.app within 14 days of initial purchase for refund consideration.
- Lifetime plans: refunds are evaluated case-by-case within 14 days of purchase.
- Cancelling an annual plan stops future renewals; access typically continues until the end of the paid period.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Falsifying, manipulating, or misrepresenting Shopify metrics or Revy verification.
- Scraping, crawling, or harvesting other merchants’ data at scale without permission.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt Revy systems or infrastructure.
- Uploading malware, spam, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or deceptive.
- Circumventing billing, access controls, or leaderboard integrity mechanisms.
- Using Revy in violation of Shopify’s terms, applicable law, or export controls.
We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access without refund when necessary to protect merchants or the Service.
Intellectual property
Revy owns the Service, including software, design, trademarks, and documentation, except for content you provide and data sourced from your Shopify store. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly allowed (for example, flex cards you generate for your own marketing).
Feedback you submit may be used by Revy without obligation to you.
Third-party services
The Service integrates with Shopify and other providers (such as authentication and hosting). Your use of those services is subject to their terms. Revy is not responsible for third-party outages, API changes, or policy decisions—including Shopify scope requirements, Protected Customer Data settings, or billing delays.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted sync, error-free analytics, specific leaderboard placement, or that public pages will meet every marketing or legal requirement in your jurisdiction.
- Metrics reflect Shopify data and your configuration; you are responsible for how you interpret and share them.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
REVY’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID REVY IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Revy against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your Revy page, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.
Suspension & termination
- You may stop using Revy anytime by disconnecting your store and cancelling billing where applicable.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, non-payment, fraud, or risk to the Service or other merchants.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms) will survive.
Disconnecting or uninstalling removes synced store data from Revy as described in our Privacy Policy. Your Shopify store is unaffected.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-dashboard notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country apply.
Before filing a formal dispute, contact hello@revy.app so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
